Natalie Cliften, M.Ed, BCBA, LBA
Natalie is the Co-Director of Catalyst Behavior Solutions and is the Director over our ABA Programs. She has a Graduate Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism from Endicott College and is currently certified as a BCABA. Before creating Catalyst, Natalie worked as a Support Coordinator and State Behaviorist for The Division of Services for People with Disabilities in Utah, and was also the Co-Founder of Apex Behavior Consulting. Natalie has worked in numerous capacities in this field for the past 18 years, and specializes in working with adults and children with autism.
Heather Blair, MS, CMHC
Heather graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and Psychology and also has a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from University of Phoenix. Heather is licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and in addition to family and individual counseling she also develops social skills and relationship curriculum and works as a masters level behaviorist (BC2). Heather is also the manager over our mental health and behavior consulting departments and has over six years of experience working with people with disabilities.
Tayrn Nicksic-Springer M.Ed, BCBA-D
Taryn is a licensed educator and school psychologist, as well as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She has worked for nearly two decades helping individuals with disabilities and their families improve the quality of their lives. She has worked in a variety of settings from residential, vocational, school and hospital settings. Her clinical specialties are autism, developmental disabilities, and communication disorders. Taryn is currently a doctoral candidate in the Educational Psychology department at the University of Utah and pursuing her PhD in school psychology. Taryn completed her Bachelors in Psychology and Sociology at Southern Utah University, and her Master’s in Education from the University of Utah with an emphasis in Severe Disabilities. Her research interests include behavior analysis, and coordinated care. She currently provides supervision to Catalyst employees pursuing their BCBA’s or BCaBA’s.
Valerie Gunther, MHTD, ABA Waiver Supervisor
Valerie Gunther is the Catalyst Behavior Solutions ABA Waiver Supervisor, and working towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She graduated from Utah State University in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Sociology, then received her Masters degree in Human Resource at Idaho State University. Before joining Catalyst, Valerie worked in the field in various other states including Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. Valerie is a Behavior Consultant (BC2), and manages all tutors working on the ABA Waiver. Valerie has worked with adults and children with disabilities for the past 11 years.
Brittany Madson, LCSW
Brittany graduated from Utah State University with a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Family and Human Development with an emphasis in Family and Community Services. She later attended the University of Utah, and earned a master’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Mental Health. Brittany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is a Mental Health Therapist at Catalyst Behavior Solutions.
Meagan Mickelsen, MSW
Behavior Consultant, ABA Supervisor
Meagan has both an undergrad and a graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Utah and Walla Walla University. Meagan works as a Masters level behaviorist (BC2/BC3) and she is currently pursuing her BCBA. Meagan has over eight years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. Meagan has worked with a wide variety of individuals with disabilities, but specializes in those with severe behavior problems or mental illness.
Amanda Gonzales, MS, ACMHC
Mental Health Therapist, Assistant Director
Amanda has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood from Weber State University and has been working with children and families for over eight years, with specialized training in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social Skills Training and Play Therapy. She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. Amanda is one of our most experienced tutors, and assists with Catalyst’s new employee ABA training. She also runs our social skills groups and helps with writing and creating our social skills curriculum.

Catalyst has an amazing team of tutors! Most of our tutors have received or are working towards their bachelors degrees in related fields and will be completing the requirements to becomes Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT’s) this year. They are dedicated, hard working, and passionate about what they do with Catalyst. We are truly proud of our tutors and the work they do for the children and families they work with.
Meg Ward, RBT
Director of Operations
Meg is our Office Administrator and an ABA Tutor for Catalyst Behavior Solutions. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Business from Weber State University. Before joining the Catalyst team, Meg had worked with children for almost 10 years as a general studies tutor and volunteered in numerous peer support groups. Meg is one of our most dedicated and knowledgeable tutors and also handles all billing and administrative needs for Catalyst. Meg is extremely passionate about the field of ABA, and looks forward to working toward her BCBA upon completion of her Bachelor’s degree.
Emily Keaton BS, RBT
Emily graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Movement Science with and emphasis in Exercise Science. Emily has had 3 years of experience working with children with disabilities and 4 years of administrative experience. Emily is currently working on becoming a Registered Behavior Technician. Emily is one of our ABA tutors, who loves seeing the changes and progress ABA provides clients and families. Emily also is our diverse Human Resource Specialist who also assists scheduling and administrative duties. Emily enjoys working with and getting to know all of our families and employees by assisting them.
Laura Gamon – PHR, CPFA
Laura Gamon is the Human Resources Manager consulting for Catalyst Behavior Solutions and part of the Human Resources team. She has over 16 years of human resources experience including recruiting, training, performance management, career development, diversity program development, employee relations, benefits, compensation, risk management and compliance issues. In her tenure she has developed, participated and implemented various projects including HR compliance audits, handbook development, job analysis, training, recruiting, and compensation design. She currently is the City Treasurer/HR Manager for the City of Washington Terrace, and the Human Resources Manager for West Point City.
