At Catalyst Academy, your child will receive specialized support in a safe, nurturing environment where they can build confidence and learn at their own pace.

You want the best for your child–and so do we! We’re passionate
about helping kids with autism achieve their goals and thrive.

Here’s a closer look at what Catalyst Academy offers:

Specialized Curriculum

Every child has their own talents, interests, and quirks that make them who they are. At Catalyst Academy, we celebrate your child’s uniqueness and provide them with the individualized care and support they need to reach their full potential.

Before your child begins their treatment program, we’ll do a comprehensive assessment to get to know them and learn about their strengths, challenges, and abilities–then, we’ll set goals and develop a treatment plan that’s right for them.

Science-backed Methods

Catalyst Academy uses the latest autism research in our treatment approach, so you can have peace of mind knowing your child is receiving the best possible care.

Our early intervention program combines the science of ABA therapy with a nurturing and supportive environment, allowing your child to learn and grow in a way that meets their needs.

About applied behavior analysis (ABA): ABA is a scientific approach to understanding behavior–and ABA therapy is the only autism treatment widely recognized as effective by medical and psychological professionals. The U.S. Surgeon General and the American Psychological Association recommend it as an evidence-based best practice treatment.

One-on-one Attention

Our programs are staffed 1:1 with registered behavior technicians (RBTs) and overseen by board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs), so your child will receive one-on-one attention from specialists trained to meet their needs.

Play-based Learning

At Catalyst Academy, we strive to make learning fun and engaging for your child by incorporating play-based activities into their curriculum.

Your child will be encouraged to use their imagination and creativity to learn new skills through imaginative play, which can involve role-playing, storytelling, or playing with dolls or action figures. This type of play helps kids develop essential skills in communication, empathy, language, and problem-solving.

Your child will also engage in sensory play, which allows them to explore and learn about their environment through touch, sight, smell, and sound. Sensory activities can include playing with sand, water, playdough, and other materials that stimulate the senses.

Play-based therapy techniques help your child develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills in natural and enjoyable ways. They’ll feel accomplished and motivated, inspiring them to develop a curiosity about the world around them and sustain good behavior at home.

Positive Reinforcement

Positive reinforcement is one of the most powerful tools in ABA therapy. At Catalyst Academy, we focus on your child’s positive behaviors and reward their good habits, helping them learn new skills and reducing problem behaviors.

Using techniques like praise, rewards, and social reinforcement to consistently encourage positive behavior, we help your child understand which actions are desirable. Positive reinforcement empowers them and instills confidence, making them increasingly likely to exhibit positive behaviors without a reward.

Social Skills Development

Social skills are essential to your child’s success in school, and–more importantly–they allow them to develop meaningful connections that improve their overall quality of life.

Catalyst Academy promotes child-led learning through hands-on experiences tailored to each child’s needs and interests. Our structured classrooms provide multi-age groupings in an environment that fosters independence, self-discipline, and a sense of community among the kids.

Your child will engage in activities like role-playing, modeling, and peer interactions to practice socializing and learn how to build friendships and positive relationships with others.

Early Intervention

Beginning treatment at a young age is vital to helping kids with autism reach their full potential. Catalyst Academy is designed to identify and address developmental delays as early as possible, so your child can receive the support and resources they need to succeed.

School Readiness and Transition Planning

At Catalyst Academy, your child will learn pre-academic skills that prepare them for success in traditional classroom settings and life in general. They’ll practice social interaction, communication, and following instructions, building the foundation they need to thrive.

When your child is ready, we’ll work with your family and school district to ensure a smooth transition from Catalyst Academy to their traditional school, develop a plan for their continued progress, and help them achieve their educational goals.

Naturalistic Environment

Kids learn best in environments that connect them to the natural world and promote creativity and imaginative play. Catalyst Academy’s classrooms provide new sensory experiences, natural materials, and order and structure, promoting skill acquisition and generalization.

Using techniques like incidental teaching, naturalistic prompting, and shaping, combined with naturalistic environments and teaching strategies, your child will learn meaningful and relevant skills they can easily apply to other areas of their lives.

Your child’s individual interests and preferences are incorporated into their lessons. So they can use materials they choose and participate in activities they enjoy, increasing engagement and motivation and leading to greater success in therapy.
